Interpretation of our texts is a foundational concept of our tradition. This booklet presents a “tikkun olam” interpretation to each parsha in the Torah. The focus is on communal responsibility and working in Tzedakah.
These “drashot” are intended to give the student and the student’s family examples of “how” the torah reading for each week can be interpreted, to allow them to expand the text beyond the written word. They are also meant to show the Torah’s ability to inform and shape our beliefs and actions in areas other than ritual observance.
While these “drashot” are intended as examples, there are no restrictions on their use.
