Merav Bayar has worked with adolescents for the past 12 years as a camp counselor, division head as well as a  Bar and Bat Mitzvah tutor and as an educator. Currently Merav is a tenured special education teacher working at a public high school in New York City. Merav has worked for the New York City Department of Education for the past 6 years both as a Middle School and High School educator. She has taught a range of core classes to a multitude of grades during her tenure.

Graduating with a B.A. in Religious Studies from Rutgers University Merav pursued a career in education with the New York City Teaching Fellows. She received her Masters Degree in Special Education from St. Johns University and is currently receiving a second Masters Degree in English Education from The City College of New York.
